In a recent research study conducted by Amanda Baber in obligation for Old Dominion University’s graduate program, data concluded that students participating in the “The Oakland Way” phonics program had above average yearly gains in reading levels, including vocabulary, comprehension, and total scores, as measured by a standardized reading test. This research validates the proven techniques utilized as key components of “The Oakland Way” program.
